Holiday Face Masks

Make your own Halloween Holiday face mask with these free SVGs.

Let’s face the facts – face masks are here to stay.

All medical facilities require them; they are recommended anywhere when we can’t stay 6 feet apart. It’s just the post-COVID world we live in.

When I lived in Asia (over 10 years ago and many years before the global pandemic), it was common to see people wearing medical face masks. The reason? They were ill and didn’t want to pass it on to anyone else.

Often, I match my mask pattern to my clothing, so why not customize a few masks for the holiday season?

I ordered a mystery pack of masks from UnBelts (a small company focusing on sustainable manufacturing and paying living wages), along with a couple of brackets (to prevent my 5-year-old from biting his mask.) I received several different colors of masks which were perfect for HTV. (note: These are NOT affiliate links. They are just great blank masks.)

Each mask comes in a sturdy, resealable plastic bag, which is great to keep them clean in.

The masks are polyester… so they would be perfect for sublimation too! I have to admit, I haven’t tried sublimation yet. I have a couple of infusible ink transfer sheets from Cricut which were in a mystery box, but I haven’t tried them yet.

Tell me: do I need to try sublimination? Let me know in the comments!

Halloween Face Masks

These designs are #53 in the Free Files Folder. There are several more design elements in the SVG file, as shown below.

Unzip and upload the file to Cricut Design Space. Ungroup, Attach, and hide layers as needed to create your custom Halloween face mask.
The black cat with glowing green eyes is my FAVORITE! It’s for my 3-year-old, who loves cats.

I used a scrap of holographic heat transfer vinyl to get the glowing eyes for the cat and spider.

I pressed one side of the jack-o-lantern face, then just kind of folded the carrier sheet over the fold, and pressed the other side. It wasn’t the most precise method, but it worked out in the end.

Christmas and Winter Holiday face mask designs

These designs are #54 in the Free Files Folder. There are many more snowflakes in the SVG file.

Here’s just a little bit of holiday spirit; Santa’s sleigh is flying up the side of the mask.

These snowflakes are white glitter HTV and sparkle in the light!

I’ll be adding new designs throughout the year.

Let me know in the comments… what designs would you like to see next?

Your designs are super cute! Absolutely try the sublimation on these masks. That’s what I am going to do. Previously, I used permanent vinyl but it didn’t stay.

I was a bit concerned about the vinyl staying too with all of the washing, but I figured if it came off… I could just put something new on! 😄

I’m going to try to come up with a mermaid-inspired design to play with the infusible ink I have. Thanks for the encouragement!
